Mt Pleasant Road Brewers
The Brief
The brewers from Mount Pleasant Rd. are long term appreciators of good quality craft beer. After sampling their share of beers, a deep curiosity was sparked and the journey to learn how to create craft beer using quality and locally produced ingredients began. Refining their recipe over a three-year period, brothers-in-law and founders Mark and Tim have been in the early start-up stages of setting up a business, testing small-batch brews and selling to a select market via social media.They engaged Ruck to develop a brand strategy and identity that would appeal to the beer connoisseur but also the unseasoned beer drinker.
The Solution
Ruck worked with the Mount Pleasant Rd. team to construct and refine art direction, logo concepts, and product packaging. The branding needed to pay homage to Mount Pleasant Road, the locally iconic road that connects and inspires founders Mark and Tim, playing with lines and curves and drawing from street signs and road imagery. The palette is influenced by a retro feel and has a muted, neutral colour palette symbolic to the 70s—following the brief of clean, clear, and something that would stand out in a beer fridge.Ruck continues to work with the brand on their growing range of craft beer.
