How nice is Geelong Design?
Last month, Ruck partnered with our friends from Boom Gallery to curate the HOME MADE – Design/Geelong exhibition.
This two-day event as part of Geelong Design week showcased local design makers from around the region crafting globally resonant work across disciplines like furniture, landscape, product and fashion design.
The exhibition launch, aligned with a very special version of Ruck’s infamous Nice Nights, generating a lively dialogue from the creative community around design’s role in everyday life, and how it connects to the wider community.
With over 100 people in attendance, a nice night was had by all as pizzas were paired with natural wines and local craft brews.
”We are proud to be able to bring so many facets of the Geelong Design creative community together, especially in partnership with our friends from Boom Gallery,” explained Ruck Agency Founder Lach Ryan.
”In our work we spend plenty of our time focussing on creativity, culture and community, and this exhibition is a strong example of those things at play in Geelong.”
Featuring design makers such as Ross Thompson, Yan Huang, Sundown Lighting, Little George Forge, Bryan Micallef Studio, Baum Cycles, Corey Graham, Nigel Petrie, Phillip Withers Landscape, Milly Thomas and Claude Kafka - Geelong’s design prowess shone brilliantly.
