Offside Café
The Brief
From a desire to develop a soccer inspired cafe for in-the-know locals, Offside cafe was born. Nestled in the riverside precinct of Geelong’s Newtown, Offside would need to be casual enough to engage the sports loving families who frequent the area, as well as present with a boldness that made you want to come back.The Solution
Taking inspiration from sister business Kick Academy, the Ruck team developed a cheeky identity grounded in monochromatic tones and supported by copy that had a bit of sass. Pitched at making locals into regulars, the cafe offered an oasis of cool in an otherwise dull industrial landscape.Ruck worked on extending the Brand into the fitout, utilising decals across windows and feature walls, designing custom signage, uniforms, assisting with interior fitout choices and overseeing social content strategy and production.
A few years on and Offside is still kicking goals with regulars.
